On June 30, 2009, Strathcona County Council approved the Aggregate Levy Bylaw 41-2009 (PDF) authorizing the imposition of an Aggregate Payment Levy. This is now in effect.
Each year, all sand and gravel operations in Strathcona County must report their shipments, in tonnes, from each individual pit within the boundaries of the County, on a quarterly basis, within fourteen days after:
