Integrated Transportation Master Plan

The Integrated Transportation Master Plan (ITMP) will be a critical Council-approved policy and strategic planning document that will advance corporate direction while providing a vision and strategic direction for transportation services. The Transportation Plan Vision needs to align with the corporate Strategic Plan and properly articulate how the County can move forward by defining specific strategic objectives or goals, strategic actions to get there, and ways to measure progress.

Sustainable Rural Road Master Plan

Developed through community input Public input was a key part of the review and development of the new plan. The input received was considered together with the economic, social and safety benefits of a well-maintained road network, and the need to protect the environment.

Wye Road Transportation Planning

Through this study, Strathcona County is in the process of developing plans to meet the long-term traffic demand (pedestrian and vehicle) on Wye Road between Ordze Road and Highway 21.

Industrial Heartland Development

Strathcona County (Alberta’s Industrial Heartland) has had a dramatic period of growth over the last three years and is considered one of the top areas in North America for future growth.
