Who is eligible?
Who is eligible to receive a Pride of Strathcona award?
Any current or former resident of Strathcona County is eligible to receive an award. Nominations may be made for individuals, groups or teams.

Former residents are eligible if they are nominated for achievements or contributions that took place at the time they lived in the County, and they have lived in the County within the last three years.

Groups or teams must be based in Strathcona County, and the majority of members must live in the County.

Individuals who live in Strathcona County and participate in groups or teams not based in the County are eligible to receive awards.

Recipients can be recognized posthumously.
There is no minimum or maximum number of awards given in a category in any year, with one exception. Only one Mayor's Award will be presented in any given year.
