Clarkdale Meadows Community Traffic Consultation Final Report
In April and May of 2010, ISL Engineering and Land Services, on behalf of Strathcona County, conducted a community traffic consultation in Clarkdale Meadows. Residents were given the opportunity to respond to a survey regarding traffic on collector roads.
The response was very high. Almost 500 surveys were returned. This report reviews the survey results and traffic data and then discusses alternatives for calming traffic in the neighbourhood.
The survey results indicated that there were three main areas of concern:
- Visibility
- Playground zones
- Traffic speeds
The ISL report makes several recommendations. None of them include the installation of traffic calming measures.
