A fire ban has been declared for Strathcona County, effective noon on May 7. No outdoor fires are permitted until further notice. This applies to all rural areas, hamlets, and Sherwood Park.
What type of fires require a fire permit in Strathcona County?
Open fires (grass/brush)
Incinerator (burn barrel)
Stubble burning
Ground thaw burning
Fires that do not require a permit:
Recreational (fire pots, pits and chimineas)
Smudge
