Public Parking - Centre in the Park

Centre in the Park is designed as a walkable, pedestrian-oriented community, supporting sustainable development with fewer roads and limited parking.
- Environmentally - encourages less reliance on vehicles and helps reduce emissions
- Socially - supports community connectedness, creating a friendly, vibrant atmosphere
- Economically - applies a user-pay principal to help offset the cost of providing heated underground parking
A parking management plan is fairly new for Strathcona County, necessary to:
- manage parking demands of visitors, library patrons, staff, students and residents
- create parking stall turnover during peak periods through enforced time limits
Public parking includes no-charge street and outdoor surface lot parking, and paid underground parking at the Community Centre.
