Strathcona County residents who receive support under the provincial AISH program are able to take Strathcona Transit at a reduced rate.

The AISH program, or Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped, applies to people with permanent disabilities that severely limit their ability to earn a living. The annual income for AISH is $13,908 per year.

  • AISH recipients may buy a monthly pass on Strathcona Transit for $20.
  • Arrangements for passes can be made by calling Strathcona County Family and Community Services at 780-464-4044.
  • The pass provides unlimited travel on routes in Sherwood Park and commuter routes to Edmonton.
