Background

Youth in grades 6, 8 and 11 from both Public and Catholic Schools were asked for their perceptions on

  • Growing up in our community
  • Family dynamics
  • School experiences
  • Attitudes and behaviours towards tobacco, alcohol and drugs

This is the second edition of the Youth Survey. The first was completed in 2005. It will continue to be administered every three years to monitor trends and changes.

The results are used by Strathcona County and shared with other agencies serving our youth to make decisions and develop strategies.

It is a part of our community indicators project and our commitment to Social Sustainability.
