Strathcona County undertakes a great deal of research about Strathcona County's social health. This social research and policy analysis helps guide effective decision-making.

In 2007 Strathcona County Council passed the Social Sustainability Framework which provides the foundation for developing a well-rounded, caring community that addresses the social needs of its residents.
