In 2011, the baby boomers began turning 65. With nearly 9,000 residents over the age of 65 in Strathcona County, older adults are a growing demographic. By 2031, the number of seniors in Strathcona County is expected to double - resulting in seniors outnumbering the children and youth in our community, for the first time.
Older adults are an asset to our community. As an an age-friendly and caring community, Strathcona County is dedicated to meeting their needs today and in the future.
