Working the Election
Election Worker Application Form
Strathcona County will be accepting applications for various election positions starting June 15.
Application forms must be dropped off in person at the Election Office between the hours of 9 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday. All applicants will be required to complete an in-person written interview to determine eligibility.

Strathcona County will also require election workers for the four advance vote dates. Election staff will be required to work half an hour prior to the open of each advance vote and an additional half hour after the close of each advance vote.
October 5, 2010 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (County Hall)
October 9, 2010 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (County Hall)
October 13, 2010 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Ardrossan Recreation Complex)
October 16, 2010 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (County Hall)
Applicants must be able to work all four dates. If interested in filling one of these positions, please make note on the application form.
Duties of each position are as outlined in the position descriptions above. Compensation will be as follows:
Presiding Deputy - $675 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Assistant Presiding Deputy - $650 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Tabulator Clerk - $565 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Ballot Clerk - $540 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Registration Clerk - $490 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Address Clerk - $430 + $45/training + $15/mileage
Door Attendant - $430 + $45/training + $15/mileage
