South Cooking Lake Park
Master Plan approved
On March 23, 2010, Strathcona County Council formerly approved this plan that guides the development of future recreational facilities, parks and open spaces in the South Cooking Lake Park. The master plan was developed, using input from the community visioning workshop held earlier this year. Guiding principles, needs and priorities for park development are identified. Direction for how the park is restored and enhanced, and what amenities may be added are included in the plan.

Visioning workshop
On June 16, 2009, residents of South Cooking Lake were asked to take part in a visioning workshop at the South Cooking Lake Hall. This workshop provided a hands-on opportunity for residents to work directly with the planning team to identify guiding principles, needs and priorities for park revitalization within the community.
