Parking Management Plan
The new Community Centre in Centre in the Park will be a busy and active place for everyone in our community. Within it, you can gather for community events, enjoy the new library and art exhibits, access municipal services, and much more.
Starting November 1, 2010, a parking program will be in place that offers paid underground parking at the Community Centre and free surface parking throughout Centre in the Park.
The paid-parking rates for the parkade will be:
- $2 per hour, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays
- $2 flat fee after 5 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays
- no free parking will be available parkade
- staff will pay a monthly fee to park in the parkade
All street and surface parking lots in Centre in the Park will remain free.This includes the Broadmoor Lake/Festival Place parking lot and the staff outdoor parking lot. Public can use the staff parking lot after 5 p.m. weekdays, and on weekends and holidays.
Free parking in the County Hall east parking lot will have a 30-minute time limit. Free street parking adjacent to the Community Centre will have a two-hour time limit.
Further details on the parking program for Centre in the Park will be included in future information on the opening of the new Community Centre.
