Rain or shine, bring your family and proudly celebrate Canada's birthday, with a phenomenal day of family fun activities and entertainment! Most activities are free, but some will need a ticket or wristband.
Purchase a wristband for $5 that will get you unlimited access to ticketed activities. Wristbands can be purchased from June 1 - June 30 at the Recreation Administration Office, Kinsmen Leisure Centre, Millennium Place, Glen Allan Recreation Complex and Festival Place. Wristbands will NOT be sold on July 1. Tickets can also be purchased on July 1 for $1 per activity at ticket booths and Kinsmen Leisure Centre. Ticketed activities include climbing wall, rascal racers, pony rides, wagon rides, eurobungee, laser tag, remote control monster trucks, segways, remote control cars, wax hands and canoe rides. Canoe rides require a timed ticket and can be picked-up at the Plaza ticket booth.
*All line-ups will be shutting down half an hour prior to their closing times

The PlayDay is a supervised, yet inspirational setting that allows kids to instinctively, creatively and energetically have fun. Mammoet presents an exciting PlayDay that celebrates getting back to the basics. There is something for everyone in each zone including:

Over 10,000 smiling faces will line the parade route through the heart of Sherwood Park.

A spectacular pyro technical display choreographed to Canadian music set over Broadmoor Lake completes the Canada Day celebration.
Free Park and Ride provided by Strathcona County Transit
There will be limited parking available on site - why not try busing it to Broadmoor!
Departures start at 8:30 a.m. from the Sherwood Park Transit Centre off Wye Road, operating every 15 minutes.
Returns start at 8:45 a.m. from in front of Festival Place every 15 minutes. Last bus leaves Festival Place at 11:45 p.m.
*During the parade, from 10 - 11 a.m., bus service will be moved from Festival Place to Oak Street, in front of the Recreation Administration Office*
Lost Children
To ensure you and your family have a safe and fun experience, remember to visit the Sherwood Park Mall S.A.F.E.tent on Broadmoor Lake Plaza to receive your free child wristband, on which you can write your cell phone number. Should you be separated from your child, your child will be escorted directly to the lost child station and you will be contacted. The Sherwood Park Mall S.A.F.E.tent is located on Broadmoor Lake Plaza from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. and is operated by Citizens on Patrol.
Medical Services
The Kinsmen Leisure Centre lifeguards are on duty from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.. Should you or someone in your group require first aid please go to the nearest information booth or the Kinsmen Leisure Centre or contact any volunteer. Please remember to bring your sunscreen, hat and drink plenty of water on a hot day.
