Community Shinny Hockey from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (Sherwood Park Arena)

• Remember your skates, gloves and hockey stick.
• Individuals under the age of 16 years are required to wear the above safety equipment. We value your safety - so if you don't have the required safety equipment, you will be unable to participate.

Free Public Skating from 6 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. (Sherwood Park Sports Centre)

• Although it is not mandatory to wear helmets, we strongly recommend it for your safety.
• Remember your skates and helmet!

What time are the fireworks and where is the best place to watch them?

• 8 p.m.
• Broadmoor Lake Park on the plaza
• If you're in your vehicle, tune into 106.7 FM to hear the choreographed music

Bus schedule - Strathcona County Transit shuttle service

• Free transit Park 'N Ride will be available for attendees departing the Bethel Transit Terminal
• Bethel Transit Terminal (650 Bethel Drive) to Broadmoor Lake Park starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs every 15 minutes
• Broadmoor Lake to Bethel Transit Terminal (650 Bethel Drive) starts at 5:45 p.m. and departs in front of Festival Place running every 15 minutes
• Last shuttle is at 8:30 p.m.
• The bus stop is directly outside of the Festival Place front doors

Road closure:

• Festival Way will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Restricted parking along Oak Street:

• Please note that parking on Oak Street, from the Broadmoor Public Golf Course south to Sherwood Drive, will be for residents only from 5:30 pm. to 8:30 p.m.

Free earplugs will be available inside Festival Place and the Sherwood Park Arena at the information booths, to aid with sensory needs or sound sensitivities. 

Concessions, food and beverages

• Sherwood Park Arena / Sports Centre - The Sherwood Park Kings Club concessions are open in the lobbies (hot dogs, fries, chips, etc.)
• Free hot chocolate is available at Festival Place Peace Park
• Free apple cider is available on the Plaza

Medical services / First Aid

• The volunteer First Aid Team is available from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., roving the grounds
• Each information desk is equipped with band aids

Lost Child Station

• Located in the Sherwood Park Arena lobby
• Operated by Citizens on Patrol members who will be on-site from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

To ensure your family has a safe and fun experience, remember to visit the Lost Child Station to receive a free wristband for your child, which you can write your name and cellphone number on. Should you be separated from your child, your child will be escorted directly to the Lost Child Station, and you will be contacted.
