Provincial Highways Vegetation Control
Vegetation control on primary and secondary highways is the responsibility of Alberta Infrastructure.
Shoulder spray application for 2010 will be begin in mid May on all provincial highways in Strathcona County, with the exception of:
Highway 630 (blanket sprayed in 2008)
Highway 21 from Highway 14 to Highway 16
and designated blanket sprayed areas.
Blanket spray application will begin in mid June on the following highways:
Highway 14 from Highway 216 to Highway 21
Highway 14 from Highway 824 to Tofield
Highway 216 from Highway 14 to Highway 16
The timing of the shoulder and blanket applications is dependant upon the weed emergence.
